It was a bit of a light blogging week. I was really pleased with the direction that Monday's and Friday's posts went, in particular. They wound up going a different way than I'd intended when I started writing them.
Monday: "Cynicism" -- Say It Ten Times Fast
As we get older, do we get wiser, or is it easy to mistake cynicism for wisdom? And did anyone actually try saying the word "cynicism" ten times fast?
Wednesday: Digging Into the Archives
A reprint of the older post called "Church Speak." This post encourages you to expand your sentences as much as possible when you pray. I've found that there've been times when I really don't think I could've meant what I was praying, because I didn't know exactly what I was praying.
Thursday: Rolling? TPing? Papering?
Photos from my yard after predators engaged it with extreme prejudice. Also, a link to a quiz about linguistics (or dialects, really). I found it humorous that one of my friends in The Netherlands got some percentage of "Dixie" in his answer.
Thursday (again): I Sing the Mighty Power of God
A resource for fellow choir director types -- an arrangement of three older hymns. Sheet music, a chord chart, and an MP3 are there for free download.
Don't assume. You know what it does. For Christ-followers in particular, it can lead us to some incorrect conclusions.

I tried saying "cynicism" 10x fast. I barely made through 4x slow. :-/
