This post was started on my phone, but now we're at an intermission, so I'm at a little internet bar finishing.
Interesting: Jan Owen won the book "Six Prayers God Always Answers," one of two which was given away over at Jeff Miller's ConsumingWorship.org. Well, oddly, Jennifer Schuchmann is here at Catalyst signing copies of this book! So I was able to get her to autograph Jan's copy! Awesome!
Observation: young, trendy, Gen X church leaders like free stuff. The outer walkway around the arena is packed during intermissions, particularly around Dave Ramsey's booth, becuse that's one of the few "take a free shirt without us pestering you" booths.
There are actually more than four or five worship leader fashion templates here. I'm impressed! But most people are wearing a grunged-out shirt. I guess that can't be helped.
Enjoyed a new song from Fee this morning: "Jesus is Alive." Great song! Hope to bring it back and present it congregationally some time soon.

glad you're having fun. I am so excited you got my book and got it autographed. I've got a book to give you when you return. It's been sitting here at the house for like months. Bring me back a grungy shirt and some enthusiasm and more vision please. :)
Funny thing... Dave Ramsey has the coolest (grungy) shirts by far this year! Better than any of the Catalyst organization shirts.
Another funny thing: last year the Dave Ramsey shirts all said, "Don't Conform." This year, if you wear yours today, you may win an iPod Nano. TONS of conformists are wearing them. :)
