Monday: I'll Never Be the Same
Pulling from the lyrics of the Fee-recorded song "Happy Day," are we serious that we'll never be the same after our sins have been washed away, even if we lived a "decent" life before that?
Tuesday: An "It's My Birthday" Thought Or Two
I turned 39 on this day and received only four "Happy Birthday!" comments. I was really sad. Wah. Anyhow, the post asks, "What would I do if I were guaranteed that I'd live through the day?"
Wednesday: Prayer Request
A request that you pray for my wife's uncle's family, and an admonition to pray for others and to let them know when you're doing so.
If you pray, "Lord, please use me to be Your hands and feet," don't be surprised when He grants you that request. "We can make our plans, but the Lord determines our steps." Proverbs 16:9 (NLT)
Friday: The Mining of Mineral Resources
The age-old, friend-defining question (with a title borrowed from a phrase in 1981's obscure Bob and Doug McKenzie album Great White North): if I had a booger in my nose, would you tell me about it, or would you tell others about it? Love. Be concerned. Help. Don't obsess.

I wanted to comment the other day on your blog, Phillip, the Ethiopian but I did not get a chance. It is often difficult for me to get my thoughts down in written form so here goes. Thank you for sharing your obediecene to God. One thing I learned recently in a ladies Bible study is that if we are obedient to God, the effects of that obedience are in His hands. I personally find it a relief to know that. I am not sure if that is what you were trying to convey in your blog but that was what I took from it and I found it to be very uplifting. Deanna
1) It seems to me that a 39 year old person would be able to deal with the fact that they only got 4 wishes. 2) I have always heard that you could pick your nose, you could pick your friends but you could not pick your friends’ nose. I have been praying for you and Callie at this time of sorrow.
