My friend and fellow lead worshipper Jan Owen sent me a link to this post: #131. The Bald Worship Leader, and it's funny enough (hilarious, actually), but I poked around at the blog, Stuff Christians Like, and found that I wished I were able to write the funny stuff that guy does. Funny and pointed.
From the post, #146. Casually writing books about God, comes this quote:
How often have you heard a Christian author say, "I knew that this material possibly had eternal consequences so when the publisher asked me to write a quick spin off after the success of the first book, I said 'No.'" Not that often or maybe just not often enough.
I am terrified of writing a book about God. And I think this idea applies to a lot of the other things we do in God's name. It's OK to be a little scared. It's OK to have a sense of gravity surround you when you sing on stage for the Lord.
Some of the author's wording in his posts may seem a little off-color to some, so if take that into consideration when you visit the site.
Some of the material at Stuff Christians Like reminded me of a great YouTube video that Preston posted a couple of weeks ago.
