Off from the hotel to Catalyst this morning! We leave in about five minutes.
Unfortunately, I don't feel very profound this morning (nor could I possibly write anything of substance in five minutes). I usually like to take something "normal" and relate it to something with a deeper spiritual meaning.
Today's normal thing is that I used the hotel shampoo and some cheap hair styling putty on my hair, and now it feels simply like I woke up and rubbed Elmer's Glue all over my head. That, or each hair on my head was secretly replaced with a piece of wire at some point in the night.
If you are able to grab onto a spiritual truth using that as a launch pad, I will be impressed, and I invite you to do so in the comments.
I'm going to have my eyes and ears open today and I hope to be able to latch onto something, bring it back, and sit down and be long-winded, as usual.

Well, maybe that you don't need to worry so much about your hair? As your previous post said, you're representing Jesus to the world, so your hair may not be the most important aspect of your appearance. (I know that you weren't really talking about how you look, but how your head feels...)
Then again, you're in a strange place, you're using strange things for your normal activities... Paul said he would become all things to all people (well, basically, "like" those to whom he was witnessing) so that they would listen to him (obviously some paraphrasing there). Maybe today you're supposed to find the "wire head crowd" and mingle with them so that you can pass on God's wisdom (oops, I almost said "your wisdom" but it's really God's, isn't it?). Or maybe you're supposed to mingle with the "hotel shampoo" or "cheap hair styling putty" crowds.
Ok, that's about as close as I can come to a spiritual truth from your wire-head launchpad. Hope your conference goes well today, and that you're able to share something with a fellow wire-head at some point during the day!
Ok. Don't laugh here is my take on it.
Though somedays we may make HUGE mistakes like use hotel Shampoo or cheap hair putty and our hair doesn't seem to look or feel like we think it should. God takes that nasty glue head and washes it clean( his forgiveness). We then can have a nice clean head and make good choices like use the right shampoo and the quality hair putty. We don't forget about when we used the hotel shampoo or the chear hair putty. We learn from it and try not to make those same mistakes again.
I don't know if that make sense to anyone but it does to me.
