Do you find that you're willing to pay a little more for some products in order to shop at a store where the employees are noticeably more friendly than those of a competitive store with lower prices? If so, how about the times you're cash-strapped and have to make every cent count?
Yes, this is totally out of left field and there is no theological tie-in here. I'm just curious. I briefly thought about tacking on a stewardship question or a note about doing to others the you would have them to do to you, but doing so would've been forced and disingenuous. I did, however, leave "stewardship" as a topic for good measure. (Here endeth my confessional.)

Yes, happy people do draw me to return. Rule 1 for a salesman. When a customer enters the store. No matter what your doing, you acknowldge them. This makes them feel welcome. However, lazy customer service, lack of inventory, higher prices due to overhead, due to not being able to buy large and varity of inventory for less, is the major problem. Mom and Pop stores can't afford to buy a hunderd items of each unit. However, the smart Mom and Pop stores now selling both on the internet as well as the store. This brings in a large revenue. If you have your own business you must use all means to making a profit. No matter how many hours you have to do it. These business will never go out of business. Due to great customer service an knowledge. They buy a small variety, sell at a reasonable price, an are able to have fast turn around and maintaining "variety" of inventory. A customer will go back often looking for a deal. Or a item that only comes along once in awhile. This a marketing 101...If a store has the same old stuff at a higher price. Most likely, im going somewhere else. Why, less cost, and maybe the store will have something else in which i'll buy. Years ago and some belive today that a business, doesn't start making a profit until 2-3 years. Sorry if you belive that you just flunked my class on marketing an sales. I've had 4 different businesses. Each business as of day 1 I was in the black. That means I made a profit. and was able to grow very fast. Today I sell on Ebay. Due to my customer service. I've never been in the red. Repeat business is an must be a salespersons and business owners first priorty. They must come back. If they don't. Chances are word of mouth. Will close you down overnight. Trust me. Its alot of very hard work to run any type of business.
Lasty, I also belive "God" plays a major role here. God, gives all of us what we deserve. No more no less. He Blesses those who work hard. If my customer can see my heart. Than they will "trust me and come back alot." God intended all of us. "to be the church 100% of the time." They will come back, an tell there friends. These are the stroes that will make it. God will not take something from you, if you be the church. "Everyday"...
